 Fantasy Avatar 2.0 This was a very interesting project. Manipulating pictures in a way where the final image doesn't look like it's been edited has been a skill I always wanted to learn, which is why I chose to turn myself into an Avatar. There were quite a few tools that I used that helped me transform my image to an Avatar. There's the Liquify Tool which I used to change the shape of the nose. I also used the Brush Tool to change the skin color to blue.  Fantasy Avatar Avatars are an animated representation of individual's persona online. They were also made into a movie. Many of their features have been exaggerated or transformed. Here are my sketches of the different looks I am deciding between when editing an image in Photoshop.

 Orphan X Orphan X has a lot of secrecy and anonymity and I really wanted to bring that feeling to the cover. With the hooded, faceless individual out on a cloudy night the cover encapsulated just that. A few tools I ended up utilizing were hue and color adjustments, selection and masking and the content aware scale which was my favorite. Original book cover.  JUDGING A BOOK BY ITS COVER There is always a first time for everything and taking some of my favorite books and redesigning the jacket is definitely a first. The different options I've sketched are in some way a clue or a representation of what the reader will find in the book. It's the curiosity that will draw the crowd in, wanting to find out more. These intriguing pictures is what I feel is effective in getting readers interested in these great novels. I will also try out some retouching, warped typing and color adjustments in photoshop to give the cover the final touches it needs. Orphan X Redemption Running from the Law
